Bengaluru residents continue to face disruptions in electricity supply, as the Bangalore electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced multiple power outages between September 5 and september 15, 2025.

On Sunday, september 7, the city will experience a 9-hour-long power cut, adding to the inconvenience citizens have been facing over the past few days.

  • Date: Sunday, september 7, 2025
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Duration: 9 hours

BESCOM stated that the outage is necessary to carry out expansion and maintenance work along the Shivamogga–Gadag State Highway, where villages in Honnali taluk are being relocated along the roadside.


 Areas Affected on september 7

According to BESCOM’s latest announcement, the following areas will face disruption:

  • Honnali Town Halepet
  • Mandakkikeri
  • Raghavendraswamy Matha Circle
  • Balaraj Ghat


 Power Supply for Farmers

BESCOM also highlighted that to ensure 7 hours of electricity supply to agricultural pump sets, the usual daytime service schedule will be altered. Instead, electricity will be supplied for 7 hours during early morning hours on the same day.


 Bengaluru Power Cuts Till september 15

BESCOM has already confirmed a maintenance drive from september 5 to september 15, with works being carried out between 6 AM and 10 PM daily. During this period, citizens are advised to plan ahead for possible disruptions.


Bengaluru Power Cut on september 6 – Recap

On Saturday, september 6, power supply was affected due to work at the 66/11kV Banaswadi Power Transformer-3. Outages occurred across several areas, including:

  • 7th A and 9th Main, HRBR Layout (1st & 2nd Block)
  • TNS Layout, Rajkumar Park, Kullappa Circle
  • Banjara Layout, Banjara Arcade
  • Trinity Enclave, RKBR Enclave
  • Agara Lake, Manjunath Nagar, Andhra Colony
  • Punyabhumi Layout (parts), Riches Garden, MR Riches Garden, West Riches Garden
  • Karekal Gudda, nri Layout Phase 1 & Dodda Gubbi
  • Bilishivale and nearby regions


What Citizens Should Do

  • Plan Ahead: Charge devices, store water, and finish essential household chores before 10 AM.
  • For Farmers: Adjust irrigation schedules as power will be available only during early morning hours.
  • Stay Updated: Follow BESCOM’s official updates via website and social media for area-specific announcements.


 With Bengaluru witnessing continuous outages until mid-September, citizens may have to brace themselves for further disruptions while BESCOM completes its large-scale maintenance and expansion projects.
