President Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, is set to embark on a two‑day official visit to the states of punjab and Rajasthan, beginning Thursday, January15, 2026, according to an official statement from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

On January15, President Murmu is scheduled to grace the 50th annual convocation ceremony of Guru Nanak Dev university in amritsar (Punjab). The President’s itinerary for January16 includes her presence at the 21st convocation ceremony of Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of technology (NIT) in Jalandhar, another prestigious educational event that brings together scholars, students, and leaders from academic and government sectors. Later on the same day, she will be attending the 1008 Kundiya Hanuman Mahayagya organised by the Ramanand Mission in Jaipur, rajasthan — a large spiritual event that draws devotees and dignitaries alike.

The two‑day visit underscores the President’s engagement with both educational and cultural spheres, fostering national unity and showcasing the diversity of India’s institutions and traditions.
