Rekha Jhunjhunwala, a prominent figure in India's investment landscape and the wife of veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has recently made a significant real estate investment in Mumbai's upscale Valkareshwar area. The investment amounts to a staggering Rs 11.76 crore.
The apartment, located in the Rockside Apartment building, boasts a carpet area of 1666 square feet and is situated near the picturesque Arabian Sea. The transaction for this property was finalized on march 15, 2024. Along with the apartment, rekha Jhunjhunwala has secured parking space for one car spanning approximately 376 square feet. Additionally, she has paid approximately Rs 59 lakh for stamp duty and registration charges.
Valkareshwar, along with Malabar Hill, was once renowned as one of the most expensive areas in Mumbai. However, with the emergence of luxury projects in nearby regions, the dynamics of real estate pricing in Valkareshwar and Malabar Hill have undergone changes.
This investment comes on the heels of another significant real estate move by rekha Jhunjhunwala's company, Kinnteisto LLP, which acquired around 1.94 lakh square feet of commercial space in Bandra Kurla Complex in november 2023, amounting to a hefty sum of Rs 740 crore. According to reports by Knight Frank, property prices in mumbai have witnessed a notable uptick of approximately 10 percent over the past year.
