Why Gujiya is feasted on Holi!!!

Everyone is eagerly waiting for the festival of Holi. With the advent of this festival, which is celebrated differently in every state, the color of gulal rises all over, but this festival of colors is incomplete without Gujiya. This is the reason that as soon as holi comes, the name of Gujiya gets on everyone's lips. These sweets made of khoya and maida are quite tasty, but often some questions arise in the minds of people regarding Gujiya.

Hiranyakashipu and Prahlad:

First of all, you should know why Hiranyakashipu and Prahlad are being mentioned on Holi. Hiranyakashipu used to be a demon but his son Prahlad started worshiping Lord Vishnu.

Because of this Hiranyakashipu conspired to kill Prahlad. Hiranyakashipu asked his sister Holika to enter the fire with Prahlad. Holika had a boon that nothing would happen if she went into the fire alone. Coming to the words of Hiranyakashipu, she went into the fire with Prahlad but got burnt herself because she had the boon of going into the fire alone. Prahlad survived. This is the reason why we burn Holika every year.

Journey of Gujiya

The festival of holi is incomplete without Gujiya. If you go on a tour of the pages of history, you will find that since the sixteenth century, special prasad of Gujhiya is being offered in the Radha Raman temple of Vrindavan, but yes, since the last few years, the craze of making, eating and cooking Gujiya on holi is very high.
