As per report it was stated that Irfan Pathan, the cricketer who took a hat-trick in Tests against pakistan in their soil, has announced retirement from all forms of the game. Earlier Irfan last played for india in the year 2012 and since then he could not make the cut to team India.

 

Meanwhile Irfan was part of India's road to title in the inaugural tournament of t20 world cup and in the finals, he got the 'Man of the Match' award. In the span of seventeen years, Irfan played 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is for india and claimed a total of 291 international wickets.

 

Furthermore in the last few years, Irfan is staying away from cricket and took commentary as a full time job. His hindi commentary is getting a good appreciation and may be he has already begun his alternative career. Moreover Irfan's elder Yusuf Pathan is yet to announce his retirement. Recently Yusuf was snubbed during the IPL auction despite having a very good track record. Moreover Irfan last played for india in the year 2012 and since then he could not make the cut to team India.
