According to police, the three youths were walking along a railway track near Parnur on thursday when they came up with the idea of making insta reels. At around 6.45 pm, while the Tambaram-Villupuram fast passenger train was on its way to Chengalpattu, they were trying to shoot a video on the tracks to upload the video on social media.
But they were hit by a train. It is speculated that the trio may have misjudged the speed of the high-speed train and therefore could not derail on time.
The investigation revealed shocking information that he was regularly uploading such videos on instagram every day at the railway station. Earlier, people had seen him sitting on the track and filming.
The deceased have been identified as K Mohan, Prakash, and S ashok Kumar. All three were from the Chettipunayam area near Singaperumalkoil near Chengalpattu.
