Spicy siren samantha Ruth Prabhu quickly established herself as a Superstar and demonstrated her potential at the box office due to the choices she chose. With "Yashodha," the chennai hottie made it big without any glamour treat, masala moments, or tainted comedy, and the movie did well at the box office. Then again, the workweek hasn't done the necessary.

Samantha's Yashodha managed to earn close to 14 to 16 crores in its final run, falling short of its goal of 22 crores, which was set because the film's worldwide theatricals cost that much. Despite this, the movie is not receiving the same kind of excitement as it did before its OTT release. Even though the movie is currently at No. 1 on amazon Prime Video's Top 10, social media excitement is lacking for the movie. Even samantha only posted one story on instagram and didn't say much about it.

Since samantha only gave one interview, the movie would have done much better financially if she had heavily marketed it. Of course, her health needs to be taken into account, but the film isn't receiving any OTT promotion either. They claim that although Yashodha has the potential to earn more at the box office and in the OTT market, it is not doing so.
