In light of the Covid-19 situation, the telangana government held a high-level meeting on tuesday to determine if a statewide lockdown was needed. According to the telangana CMO, top state officials convened on tuesday under the chairmanship of the chief minister to address reasons for and against a total lockdown.
"The State cabinet has decided to impose #lockdown for 10 days starting 10 am tomorrow. The lockdown will be relaxed from 6 am to 10 am daily for all the activities. The Council of Ministers has also decided to invite global tenders for procuring #Covid19 vaccine.," said in a tweet@TelanganaCMO
The telangana government, led by chief minister k chandrashekhar rao, declared a 10-day statewide lockdown on tuesday in response to a sudden increase in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases. The lockdown will be in effect from tomorrow (May 12th, Wednesday) until May 22nd. However, all activities will be permitted from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily, after which only essential activities will be permitted for the remainder of the Covid-19 lockdown, according to the telangana chief minister's office (CMO).
According to people familiar with the situation, the complete instructions for the telangana lockdown will be released soon.
