From october 19, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has granted permission to fly 100% domestic routes across the nation without limitations. On march 25, the central government declared a shutdown to prevent the spread of the corona virus. Since then, India's domestic passenger sector has remained dormant. Special flights and cargo planes were the only modes of transportation available.

On May 26th, domestic flights were restarted. In the initial phase, 950 domestic flights were operated around the country. This was used by 1.22 million people. In the initial phase, 375 aircraft were used in delhi alone. The number of flights was then raised marginally. Domestic flight passengers capacity has been expanded from 76.5 percent to 86 percent. Nevertheless, 100 percent of the planes have yet to take off. Passengers on domestic flights were also subjected to a variety of restrictions.

When travelling, all passengers must wear a mask and have a Aarogya Setu app's health care certificate downloaded to their smartphone. In this regard, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has granted approval for domestic flights to be conducted across the nation without constraints beginning october 19. Domestic airlines that were subjected to a moratorium in May of last year to stop the spread of the corona virus might resume passenger service without difficulty.
