India arrived in 2021 with the goal of eradicating the virus and preparing for a year without Covid. The virus, on the other hand, had different ideas. Like last year, the country will be engulfed in another 365-day cycle of restrictions, cluster-based lockdowns, and travel bans. As a result of the increased number of instances, Delhi, mumbai, and a few other states have enacted severe Covid regulations, limiting restaurant capacity and public access.

Mumbai issued a notification on friday, extending the limitations till january 15. The mumbai Police has restricted residents from attending beaches, open grounds, sea faces, promenades, gardens, parks, or similar public locations from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., in accordance with Section 144 of the Code of criminal Procedure (CrPC).

Beaches, gardens, and other public locations in mumbai are closed from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the mumbai Police Department: In light of the current coronavirus crisis and the appearance of the Omicron variety, mumbai Police issued an order on friday barring people from visiting beaches, open grounds, sea faces, promenades, gardens, parks, or similar public locations between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily till january 15.
