An "item song" used to be a super smash number more often than any other song in a movie. Numerous popular item songs have made their mark on telugu cinema history, from the films of the famous ntr to those of filmmaker Sukumar. The most recent example of a chart-topping item song is none other than Samantha's "Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava" from Pushpa, which was made available last year.

After Puhspa, there were a lot of big movies released in 2022, but the telugu audience has yet to be captivated by a legitimate mega hit song. The creator of Oo Antava, Devi Sri Prasad, was unable to duplicate the same enchantment with Tamanna and Mehreen's Oo Aa Aha Aha from F3. Even though megastar chiru is known for choosing quality item numbers, item tracks like Regina's Saana Kastam from acharya and Warina Hussain's Blast Baby from Godfather also failed to entertain in a significant way.

Anveshi Jain's Na peru Seesa from Ramarao On Duty, Tamannaah's Kodthe from Ghani, Warina Hussain's Gulebakavali from Bimbisara, and Anjali's Ra Ra reddy from macherla Niyojakavargam are just a few of the notable item numbers that were acknowledged but did not have the same impact as Oo Antava. These songs received some initial attention, but they still fall short of Oo Antava. Even sudheer babu has recently released an item song, Apsara Rani's Papa Tho Pailam, however it was unsuccessful in making an impression.

Indravathi Chouhan's voice, Samantha's alluring allure, allu arjun and Samantha's dance moves, the sassy lyrics that poke fun at male ego, and the upbeat tune provided by devi sri prasad all contribute to Oo Antava's phenomenal success. Only if each of these elements works in harmony would a "item song" surpass "Oo Antava" in terms of score.
