Today, june 29, 2023, Maamannan, a movie starring Udayanidhi stalin, Keerthy suresh, Fahadh Faasil, and Vadivelu and directed by Mari Selvaraj, opened in theatres all over the world. While the movie lacked hype and Mari Selvaraj's remarks on Thevar Magan in front of kamal haasan at the Maamannan audio launch caused controversy, Dhanush's favorable review yesterday pushed fans to reserve tickets.

Before we jump inside the review, we want to clarify that the movie is not against any particular group or caste, however, Mari Selvaraj has kept lots of metaphors that will be decoded and that might make noise later for sure. stalin -Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>udhayanidhi stalin already confessed this will be his final movie and he bade adieu to his acting career and he has opted for a perfect movie to bid goodbye! Keerthy suresh doesn't have much scope.

Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil are the real show stealers. After watching Vadivelu as a comedy actor for decades, we see him as a performer and he has nailed his character. When he sings, he literally brings tears to our eyes. FaFa scores again and he is flawless as usual. AR rahman is the backbone of the movie and his background score and songs are a major plus. The second half of the movie is where the screenplay falls flat and even the last 30 mins remind us of Vijay's 'Sarkar'. 

Director Mari Selvaraj has set his foot strong with 'Maamannan' and all eyes will be on his future projects now he is one of the top-tier directors already and he has to shoulder a lot of responsibilities. At least in the future he should come out of his shell and make movies for everyone irrespective of caste.
