Leaders, followers pay their final respects to Bangaru Adigalar...

Due to poor health, spiritual leader Bangaru Adigalar also referred to as "Amma," who instituted groundbreaking changes that let women perform puja in the inner chamber of shakti temples, passed away on Thursday. Adigalar (82), who lived in Melmaruvathur, experienced chest pains prior to his passing. The spiritual teacher's wife, two sons, and two daughters survive him. 'Amma' Bangaru Adigalar passed died, and tamil Nadu governor RN ravi expressed his profound sadness.

A very advanced soul and an excellent spiritual mentor. We shall always be inspired by his efforts for social reform, healthcare, and education. My sincere sympathies go out to his family and supporters. "Om Shanti!" exclaimed the Governor. In addition to expressing sorrow over his passing, chief minister MK stalin also declared state honours for the spiritual leader's funeral as a way to honour his contributions. "When the DMK, following a long crusade, empowered individuals of all classes to serve as priests in temples, Bangaru Adigalar's religious rebellion, enabling women to carry out puja within the garba graha of temples is admirable," stalin stated.

According to MK stalin, Bangaru Adigalar gave women prominence by permitting them to pray inside the sanctum sanctorum and revolutionized spiritualism for a social cause. Although Adigalar started out as a teacher in a lowly position, he grew to prominence as a spiritual leader bringing about reform in a variety of disciplines, including education, healthcare, and the upliftment of the underprivileged, according to AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami. No one can fill the void left by Adigalar, according to former chief minister O Panneerslevam, who skillfully blended spiritualism with social welfare initiatives.
