As of right now, Sivakarthikeyan is enjoying the success of his most recent movie, Ayalaan, which debuted on january 12. Directed by R. Ravikumar, the movie had a mixed bag of reviews but ended up being one of the best films that came out during Sankranthi.
 
The actor has already formally begun work on his upcoming film, which AR murugadoss is helming and is provisionally named SK23. Rumour had it that Mrunal Thakur would play the major role, however Rukmini Vasanth, playing opposite Sivakarthikeyan, was revealed by the film's directors, ending all guesswork.
 

Director murugadoss stated, "I needed someone who looked like a practical young woman," in an interview with TOI. After seeing her flicks, I realized that Rukmini's demeanor more closely resembled the type of character I had created. murugadoss also noted the film's captivating plot and the fact that it is set in Chennai. He called it an exciting action movie with a twist that was different from ghajini and mixed with romance. It sounds exciting and action-packed.

On february 14th, Sivakarthikeyan's next film, SK23, had its pooja ceremony. Rukmini, Anirudh, Sivakarthikeyan, and other well-known people were present. Rukmini, who shot to fame in the kannada cinema industry, is now in high demand as an actor. Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini's newfound chemistry in this movie has a lot of potential.
