The head of the andhra pradesh congress Committee (APCC), YS sharmila, chastised the YSRCP administration for not doing more for the welfare of the state in a recent interview. sharmila contended that andhra pradesh would have been granted special status ten years sooner if the congress had taken back control in 2014. 

Sharmila thinks that andhra pradesh politics will soon undergo significant transformation. She believes that the congress party will triumph both nationally and in the state. She is hoping that the central government would change as a result of the india bloc. She also conveyed her complete confidence in her ability to win the kadapa seat.

"I am definitely going to win the lok sabha seat from kadapa, and I also hope that some of my party members will win some mp seats and mla seats," she said. sharmila desires to continue the legacy of her father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy. She said that her mother struggles to decide who to support—her daughter or her son. sharmila appreciates her mother's decision to maintain her neutrality. She thinks that because her mother is an example of a wife and mother, people look up to her.
