A reputable brand even offered the actress Rs 2 crores in compensation when they wanted to feature her in a promotional campaign for their skin-whitening lotion back in 2019.

The actress declined to be the project's headliner even though she was promised a substantial sum of money in compensation. sai pallavi disclosed a few years following the occurrence that she made her decision based on her own intuition while attending colleges and universities.
 
The actress described how many people in her immediate vicinity would frequently make remarks about those who were darker skinned than their love partner. She continued by describing how her acquaintances from back then would criticise couples and point out how much better they might be.
