'We are different from Hindus' said PAK Army Chief!
Pakistan army Chief General Asim Munir made statements on matters like India, hinduism, two-nation theory, kashmir and Gaza at the first annual conference of overseas Pakistanis, which were not only controversial but also divisive and spread hatred. In the program organized from 13 to 16 april 2025 in Islamabad, pakistan, he also appealed for financial help from Pakistanis living abroad. pakistan army Chief General Asim Munir's style in the conference was not that of a commander but of a fanatic religious preacher.
General Munir said in the program, "We are different from Hindus in every possible aspect of life." This statement is the same old interpretation of Mohammad ali Jinnah's two-nation theory, in which religion was described as the foundation of nation building. General Munir further said, "Our religion, customs, traditions, thoughts and ambitions are different, that is why our ancestors laid the foundation of Pakistan".
Appeal to overseas Pakistanis
Asim Munir's speech seemed more like an economic alms than an emotional appeal to overseas Pakistanis. During the program, he said, "You are showing love for your country by sending money, by investing. Do not forget that you are connected to a superior ideology".
Two countries formed on the basis of the pen?
Munir claimed that Allah has created only two kingdoms in the world on the basis of the pen, one is Medina and the other is Pakistan. He said, "Allah has created pakistan after 1300 years". At the end of his speech, Munir called kashmir the jugular vein of Pakistan and criticized Israel's action in Gaza and expressed support for the Palestinians. All the big leaders of pakistan, including prime minister Shahbaz Sharif, were present in the overseas gathering held in Pakistan's capital Islamabad.
