BJP Attack On Siddaramaiah

After the pahalgam terrorist attack, the political atmosphere in the country is also heatedThe chief minister of Karnataka had recently said that he is not in favor of war with Pakistan. He became a headline in Pakistani media and it made full use of this statement. Now that he has clarified the matter, the bjp taunted him and called him pakistan Ratna.

Karnataka cm said on Twitter, "I have seen debates and discussions in favor and against my statement about war. War should always be the last option of a nation. The horrific terror attack in pahalgam by Pakistan-backed terrorists has made it clear to both the people of our country and the central government that there were serious flaws in our intelligence and security system. Now it is the serious responsibility of the government to first correct these shortcomings and ensure that such tragedies are not repeated in future." He said, "At this critical moment, countries across the world are standing firmly with India, strongly condemning Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

We must take advantage of this unprecedented global support and teach pakistan such a deep lesson that they never dare to commit such reckless acts again." Why did Siddaramaiah's statement become a headline in Pakistan? Earlier, Siddaramaiah had created a controversy by saying that there was no need to wage war against Pakistan. "Strict security measures should be introduced. We are not in favor of waging a war. There should be peace, people should feel safe and the central government should ensure effective security arrangements," he said yesterday.

Pakistani media, including Pakistan's news channel Geo news, then covered the karnataka chief minister's comments and described him as a "voice against the war from within India".

BJP takes a dig at Siddaramaiah

Karnataka bjp chief BY Vijayendra shared a clip of a Geo news bulletin and wrote on Twitter, "Many congratulations to Vajra-e-Aala Siddaramaiah from across the border! Pakistani media is praising Siddaramaiah a lot and is disappointed with the response he is getting from the bjp and others for his comments against war with Pakistan." Referring to the country's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr Vijayendra said, "Nehru was taken around the streets of Rawalpindi in an open jeep because pakistan was very happy with Nehru for signing the Indus Water Treaty, which was in Pakistan's favour. Will Siddaramaiah be the next indian politician to be taken around in an open jeep in Pakistan?"

R Ashoka, leader of the opposition in the karnataka assembly, described Siddaramaiah as a "Pakistan Ratna". "Chief minister Siddaramaiah, you have become world famous in pakistan overnight because of your childish and absurd statements," he said.
