The Muslim community put pressure on the police to submit a formal complaint against mla Balmukund and several bjp employees at the Manak Chowk police station after the incident. It begs the question of why the Muslim community was so outraged by the FIR, which was filed against both Pakistan, the hostile neighbor, and individuals who were denouncing a terrorist act. Interestingly, this is not a singular occurrence. Following the terror attack, similar occurrences occurred all over the nation where Muslims objected to anti-Pakistan chanting.
How the protest unfolded
MLA Balmukund and his followers demonstrated against the pahalgam terrorist assault on april 25 at Badi Chaupad. In the pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists slaughtered 27 defenseless Hindus on april 22, igniting national indignation. Notably, the victims' relatives and witnesses attested that the terrorists checked to see if the victims were Hindus before murdering them.
The victims were honored by the mla and his allies. The shouts "Pakistan Murdabad" and "Terrorism Murdabad" were also yelled at. Additionally, they displayed posters with the same phrases outside Jama Masjid and in other surrounding locations.
On social media, a video of mla Balmukund plastering posters and yelling anti-Pakistan and anti-terrorism sentiments went viral.
The Muslim community gathered around Johri Bazaar after the mla and his supporters mounted a protest. They said that "Jai Shri Ram" chants were yelled at close to the mosque, which they said offended their religious feelings. They called for the bjp mla to be arrested right away.
As soon as they began to assemble, things became tense. Five police stations provided additional police personnel. To calm the situation, Deputy police Commissioner Rashi Dogra Dudi, Additional CP hari Shankar Sharma, and jaipur police Commissioner Biju George Joseph hurried to the area.
