A terrifying case of gang rape has been reported in Gopalganj, Bihar, where a woman was beaten while traveling from Uttar Pradesh to the area to receive medical care for her crippled father. The horrifying incident happened at the Sasamusa railway station, which is under the authority of the Kuchaykot police station.

The victim reportedly traveled to Gopalganj with her father in order to receive medical care.  She went back to Sasamusa railway station with her father on sunday night after he received treatment at a nearby doctor's clinic in Shyampur, but she missed her train. They spent the night stuck at the station.

The victim went to the station's hand pump to get water at around four in the morning.  She was then accosted by three young males, who gagged her and dragged her against her will to a remote location where they gang-raped her.

The woman was heartbroken when the offenders ran away after the attack. Locals heard her scream for assistance and promptly called the police. Following their prompt arrival at the site, the Kuchaykot police detained one of the accused based on the victim's identification. To capture the final two suspects, police are conducting raids.

A nearby hospital has admitted the sufferer for medical assessment and treatment. Awadhesh Dixit, the SP for Gopalganj, confirmed the arrest and promised that the other offenders would be caught shortly. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is assisting the police in their scientific inquiry. Locals are furious about the incident and are calling for the offenders to face harsh penalties.
