Aamir Khan is all set to return to the silver screen with Sitaare Zameen Par, a sports drama that serves as a spiritual sequel to his critically acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par. Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the upcoming film shifts its thematic focus from learning disabilities to the power of sports and determination, while retaining the emotional depth and human-centric storytelling that defined the original.

The film also stars genelia Deshmukh in a pivotal role, marking a refreshing collaboration that has already sparked interest among fans. With shooting now wrapped and post-production underway, anticipation is steadily building for what could be another thought-provoking addition to Aamir's filmography.

Initially scheduled to release its theatrical trailer on May 1st, Sitaare Zameen Par was expected to use ajay Devgn’s raid 2 as a launch platform, given the latter’s wide reach and high footfalls. However, following the recent tragic incident in Pahalgam, aamir khan chose to postpone the trailer release out of respect.

This thoughtful gesture, characteristic of the actor’s socially conscious image, has been widely appreciated. The new trailer release date is yet to be announced, but fans remain hopeful it will arrive soon, especially as the film eyes a theatrical release on june 20. Given the emotional and thematic weight of the project, the trailer is expected to play a key role in setting expectations and conveying the film’s unique tone.
