Some people have blamed Pak army Chief Asim Munir for the 8 Pakistanis killed in India's Operation Sindoor. According to sources, many close associates of former Pak PM imran khan are very angry with Asim Munir for the attack. They say that pakistan is shedding blood because of Asim Munir's arrogance and personal ambitions.
India destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts of Pakistan on the intervening night of 6 and 7 May, in which 8 people are reported to have been killed and 33 injured. india has taken this action in response to the terrorist attack in pahalgam last month, in which 26 innocent people were brutally killed. Under Operation Sindoor, only those areas have been targeted where pakistan had given shelter to terrorists.
Sources close to Imran Khan say that due to the stubbornness and arrogance of the Pak army Chief, Pakistan's relations with india deteriorated and the indian army carried out Operation Sindoor. india has carried out this attack on terrorists trained in pakistan and abroad to avenge the innocent people killed in Pahalgam. He also alleged that the terrorist structure in the country is a campaign run by the military leadership.
Earlier, Imran Khan's party pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had refused to attend any major meeting of the Pak government on the tension with India. The party had said that since this is just a government briefing and no effort is seen to build a national consensus in it, nor is the country's prominent leader imran khan being included in it. The party said that they feel that there is no need for PTI to attend this briefing.
Sources say that Asim Munir was calm in the initial phase after becoming the Pak army Chief, but when he failed to stop the atmosphere of unrest in the country and the growing support for imran khan and PTI, he adopted a confrontational approach. Regarding Asim Munir's statement on kashmir and the Two Nation Theory, he said that it reflects his divisive agenda. Just a few days before the pahalgam attack, Asim Munir had described kashmir as the jugular vein of pakistan in an address and had also made a statement about Hindus.
