This is the new rule change. This rule change has given some relief to the IPL teams. Because information is being released that some foreign players from royal challengers Bangalore, delhi Capitals, chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers hyderabad are not going to participate in the remaining matches. Therefore, those teams can temporarily select replacement players.
 
 The play-off round will be held after the remaining league matches, which will start from May 17, have over. The IPL final is scheduled to be held on june 3. Three teams, chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers hyderabad, and rajasthan Royals, have already lost their chance to advance to the playoffs. Therefore, even if those teams lose the services of foreign players, it will not cause any major loss.
