In indian cinema, the age difference between the main performers has always been a contentious issue. Many telugu actors have recently come under fire for dating heroines who are half their age. people were offended by a scene in Bholaa shankar that featured megastar chiranjeevi and Sreemukhi. The sensual and intimate dancing routines between ravi Teja and bhagyashree Bhorse in Mr. Bachchan's songs drew criticism last year. balakrishna and urvashi Rautela's dance moves in Daaku Maharaaj this year garnered a lot of flak. salman was even made fun of for his romance with rashmika in Sikander.
Due of their significant age difference with the female stars, two tamil heroes have generated controversy on social media.  Suriya and kamal haasan are the two.  Kamal Haasan kissed Abhirami, who is almost 29 years younger than him, and had a romantic scene with trisha, who is 28 years younger, in the trailer for Thug Life.  On social media, these trailer images generated a lot of discussion, with many individuals questioning the filmmaker's choices. 

On the other hand, Suriya's latest movie was just released, and it was revealed that Mamitha Baiju, who is famous from Premalu, will be appearing alongside him.  Some folks weren't happy with this choice either.  We learn that Mamitha will play a significant role in the film, but she won't be Suriya's romantic interest.
 
Some individuals believed that kamal haasan and Suriya should also be criticized for their roles with heroines who were significantly younger than chiranjeevi and ravi Teja.  

Some people noted, however, that the problem is with the way romantic scenes are filmed, not with older heroes acting alongside much younger girls.  They contended that Balayya's dance with Urvashi, ravi Teja's song with bhagyashree, and Chiru's sequence with sreemukhi were all sexualized to appeal to a specific demographic.  They claimed that rather than being sexualized, Kamal's scenes with abhirami and trisha were a natural progression of the plot.  In any case, only after Thug Life is released can those scenes be evaluated. 

However, salman also addressed Sikander's criticism, stating that if rashmika and her mother are okay with him dating the actress on screen, then why should anybody else be?  He even said that he would like to collaborate with Rashmika's daughter.
 
Some moviegoers in the commercial format don't care about the age difference between the main characters; to them, it just matters how they appear on film.  The market and frenzy calculations are what drive such combos to appear on screen, even for filmmakers.
 
Thus, this is an ongoing issue that coexists with the system without endangering anyone.
