Prime minister Narendra Modi is on a Cyprus tour, from where he will leave to attend the G-7 summit to be held in Kananaskis. This is PM Modi's first foreign tour after Operation Sindoor, where he will hold talks with the world's top leaders. US President donald trump, Italy's PM Georgia Meloni and French President Emmanuel Macron have reached Canada to attend the G-7 summit.
PM Modi may meet Donald Trump
On the invitation of Canadian prime minister Mark Carney, PM Modi will attend the G-7 summit on 16-17 June. During this time, he may also meet Donald Trump. However, this has not been confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs. Claiming to be a mediator between india and pakistan during Operation Sindoor, donald trump gave himself the credit for bringing about the ceasefire. At the same time, india rejected the interference of any third party.
There can be a discussion on the issue of arms and technology transfer
In such a situation, PM Modi can present India's stand on ceasefire in front of the world on a global platform like G-7. Apart from this, PM Modi can clarify India's stand in front of trump during the meeting, because India never accepts any third party mediation on the kashmir issue. India has made it clear that kashmir is not an issue of discussion and now if there will be a discussion with pakistan, it will be only on the issue of POK.
The platform of the G-7 summit will be an opportunity to tell the world about India's technical and military capability during Operation Sindoor. Apart from this, PM Modi can also have a discussion with global leaders on the issue of arms and technology transfer in the future.
