Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin has criticized the AIADMK for approaching the supreme court in support of a special and intensive revision of the voter list, calling the move a "disgrace" and an attempt to undermine the democratic process. Stalin's comments came during a speech at a meeting of booth-level party representatives in Chennai, where he addressed the political developments surrounding the voter list revision.

The issue of voter list revisions has been a point of contention in tamil Nadu, with the AIADMK seeking judicial intervention to ensure the revision process is carried out in a way that aligns with their political interests. However, stalin expressed strong disapproval of the AIADMK's decision to approach the supreme court, calling it a desperate attempt to manipulate electoral processes to their advantage.

Stalin further stated that such actions by the opposition party show a lack of confidence in the democratic institutions of the country and undermine the integrity of the election process. He pointed out that voter list revisions are a routine and essential part of the electoral process and must be carried out transparently and impartially, without interference from political parties.

During his address to the booth-level representatives, stalin also reaffirmed the commitment of his government to uphold the sanctity of the electoral process and to ensure that every citizen’s vote is counted fairly. He encouraged party workers to be vigilant during the revision process and to help ensure that there is no manipulation of voter rolls.

The remarks were met with applause from the representatives, many of whom expressed their solidarity with the Chief Minister's stance on the issue. The meeting, which aimed to strengthen the party's grassroots network, also focused on various other election-related matters, including strategies for the upcoming local body elections.
