According to sources, indigo flight 6E6764 took off from guwahati in assam to chennai, but midway, due to lack of fuel in the plane, the pilot gave a 'Mayday' call to Bengaluru air Traffic Control (ATC).

According to information received from indigo sources, the flight did not get clearance to land due to congestion. After this, the pilot gave 'low fuel mayday call' to Bengaluru ATC. The pilot had told ATC that the flight is low on fuel, so you give us permission to land on priority basis. After this, the indigo flight landed safely at Bengaluru airport at 8.20 pm as a precaution.
Medical and fire service teams were deployed for the safety of 168 passengers
A total of 168 passengers and crew members were on board this indigo flight from guwahati to Chennai. However, the plane landed safely.
