After imposing 25 tariffs on india, US President donald trump once again claimed on sunday (August 03, 2025) to stop the war between india and Pakistan. trump said that he has stopped the war going on between many countries of the world including India-Pakistan. On May 10, trump announced on social media that after long talks held under the mediation of Washington, india and pakistan have agreed to ceasefire. After this, he has repeated this claim many times. However, india has made it clear that no third country has a hand in the ceasefire with Pakistan. This latest claim of trump comes a few days after the statement of white house Press Secretary Caroline Levitt in which she said that President trump should be given the Nobel Peace prize for ending many conflicts around the world including india and Pakistan.

In a post on Truth Social on sunday, trump criticized radio host and author Charlemagne the god and said that she does not know anything about me or my work, 'such as stopping 5 wars, including the 31-year bloodshed between the republic of congo and Rwanda, in which 7 million people have died, and there is no end in sight.' trump said, 'She did not know this, nor about india and pakistan, nor about eliminating Iran's nuclear capabilities, nor about closing the terrifying open border, nor about creating the largest economy.'
Trump also claimed to have stopped 6 wars in the interview
Just a day earlier, trump had said in an interview to Newsmax that he has resolved many wars. He said that he has resolved the conflict between India-Pakistan nuclear country, thailand and cambodia as well as Congo and Rwanda. trump said, 'I have resolved it and I have resolved it through trade. I said- listen, you guys will fight. You can fight as much as you want. I mean, just fight with all your might, but we are not making any trade agreement.' The US President said that I have resolved a lot of wars. I think on an average I have resolved about one war every month, but you know, we are saving millions of lives.'
25 percent tariff imposed on india and 19 percent on Pakistan
On last wednesday (July 30), trump announced to impose 25 percent tariff on all goods coming from India. Not only this, he also announced to impose a fine on india for buying crude oil from Russia. The US President had earlier announced a 29 percent tariff on pakistan, but later he modified it to 19 percent tariff and also struck an oil deal with Pakistan.
