Why did cbi arrest manish Sisodia, the deputy cm of Delhi?

Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister, claimed earlier today that false charges are being brought against AAP officials because PM Modi is 'afraid' of Arvind Kejriwal.

Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of delhi, was taken into custody after eight hours of cbi interrogation. In relation to the purported delhi liquor tax policy case, he was detained. On Monday, he will appear before the judge.

After searching Sisodia's bank locker in association with the case in august of last year, his arrest occurs months later. The deputy cm had asserted at the time that investigators had not uncovered any evidence-gathering objects in his closet.

Sisodia has been officially detained, but he is not listed as an accused party in the case's chargesheet. The chargesheet names seven suspects, including the detained businessmen Vijay Nair and Abhishek.

The cbi had earlier demanded that Sisodia show up for interrogation on february 19. Sisodia asked the central agency to postpone interrogation last Sunday, stating that he was "preparing the budget" at the time and could only appear before it near the end of February.

According to a cbi officer, numerous searches were carried out at 21 locations in delhi and the NCR last year, including Sisodia's home and the workplaces of four public employees. He claimed that the searches took place in 7 different states.
