Amid the ongoing turmoil in war-torn Afghanistan, huge crowds were seen thronging the streets outside banks in Kabul. Long queues of people standing outside the banks in Kabul can be seen in this video.

The banks have decided that the customers are allowed only to withdraw $200 or 20000 Afs per week. This becomes the reason for all this cause. There is no update on the pandemic situation in the country seems like nobody is adhering to any.

Another video shows people waiting behind the gate of the bank. Some people waiting there even spent the night outside the bank.

According to a report, Afghanistan's banks, which are vital to the country's recovery from the crisis, face an uncertain future, with concerns about everything from liquidity to the employment of female workers after the Taliban surged to power. The banks were set to reopen on august 24 after being closed for ten days following the Taliban's takeover of Kabul, according to a Taliban spokesperson.
“The banks are still closed with no obvious signs of reopening; they have run out of money,” Gazal Gailani, the Afghan embassy's trade and economic adviser in London, told Reuters earlier.

"The banking system is now collapsing, and people are running out of money," he stated.
