How to replace your damaged currency notes?
Many times we are given bad notes during any transaction and we also take them in haste but later if no one takes these notes from us then we have to face difficulties. According to the rules of RBI, if your note is torn to pieces, then the bank will replace it. Even if any part of the mutilated note is missing, it can be exchanged and can be converted.
How much money will you get in return?
How much money you will get in exchange for the note, depends on the condition of your note and the note value. In the case of a few mutilated notes, you get full money, but if the note is torn badly - then you will get a few % of the money back.
Rule of RBI
