Ugadi is celebrated as a new beginenig It is an important and historic auspicious day for Hindus. It is celebrated as Ugadi in Andrapardesh telangana and karnataka, as Chetichand by Sindh's, Gudipadwa in Maharashtra.

On this day people offer their prayers and prepare a variety of dishes. Of which Ugadi Pachadi is of more significance. Ugadi Pachadi, is a chutney prepared by mixing different ingredients are neem flower, jaggery, salt, tamarind, Mango, Chillepowder. Ugadi Pachadi is said to have Shadruchulu i.e six flavors like sweet, sour bitter, pungent, salty, spicy.

jaggery has zinc, selenium and has antioxidant properties which prevent the free radical reactions. This also helps to fight infections. salt is added for the taste. Besides, it helps in fighting dehydration.
Neem flower gives bitterness. neem has many significant medicinal properties that boost ou body.

Tamarind adds sourness and slight sweetness. This improves the Mineral absorption in the body. tamarind also helps in proper digestion and reduces few gastric problems. Chili is added for spiciness mainly, but it also helps in fighting many skin-related diseases and skin infections. Another common thing followed on this auspicious day "Panchaga Sravan".
