Actor Vemal had recently appeared in the disastrous rural comedy entertainer Kalavani 2, the sequel to his 2010 flick Kalavani helmed by Sarkunam and co-starring Oviya, saranya ponvannan and ilavarasu and now he has committed to a new movie. Actor Vemal is a rural hero known for Pasanga, Kalavani, Vaagai Sooda Vaa and was seen in the recent release Kalavani 2, Helmed by Sarkunam, who had directed the first part of Kalavani too. Bankrolled by Sarkunam under his Varman films, the movie co-starred Oviya, Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu, and the team recently conducted a success meet during which Vemal also hinted on Kalavani 3.
Vemal after starring in many action and rural movies is now turning to do a romantic comedy to be helmed by director Senthil Kumar, who had last directed the investigative thriller movie 6.2 which was released way back in 2005, starring sathyaraj and Sunitha Varma.
This untitled romantic comedy will be bankrolled by V Palanivel under his Vaidhyanathan films and the female lead is yet to be selected and it must be noted that Vemal has movies like Chozha Naattaan, Sandakkari, Kanni raasi in his kitty.
