C. Shakeela, better known by her stage name Shakeela, is an indian actress and model who has mostly worked in Kannada, Telugu, malayalam, and tamil films. shakeela made her acting debut at the age of 18 in the 1995 film Playgirls. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she featured in over 250 films, most of them were softcore.

She stated emphatically that she is not a pornstar. She had a career as a soft-porn actor.  She also disclosed that her autobiography movie which is under direction soon to be out is named 'Shakeela - not a porn star'. She explained that she had not revealed her private parts in the same way that a porn actress would. people with incomplete knowledge think of her as a pornstar, she claims.

Shakeela explains that she was not attempting to be a soft-porn actor; rather, she was attempting to justify the roles she had been given in the films. She also stated that she was never forced to take part in any role and that she had never sought one. She said she didn't do it for the fame, but only realised it after the success of her superhit film "Kinnarathumbikal." The majority of her films were made in malayalam and then dubbed into other languages.
