Censorship is mandatory for any content shown in theatres. Because it comes under public exhibition. This censor ensures that no vulgarity or violence is excessive. If any exhibition is done without taking the relevant certificate, legal action will definitely be taken. It is known that on the occasion of Nagarjuna's birthday, 'Na Sami Ranga' was restricted to online only due to lack of censor permission. But in the case of Vijay starrer Leo, some exhibitors are stuck showing enthusiasm.
Due to this they got legal notices. The trailer of Leo movie was released three days ago. However, in many theatres in tamil Nadu, this campaign film was screened in public as a director without any permission. Moreover, this campaign film also contains an offensive word and violent scenes. The people who came to the theatre took pictures and videos and shared them on the internet.
It went to the notice of the Costa Censor Board. The censor has sent notices asking for an explanation as to how they can show it without their permission. It was up to the owners to take the shock. Now the theatre management is struggling to know how to explain it. So, if you do something like this without looking back to see if the fans have demanded it or if there will be a craze, then you will have to face problems like this.
Meanwhile, Censor Board has given U/A certificate to Leo movie. The full run time of the movie is 2 hours 44 minutes. The Censor Board suggested a total of 13 minor changes. They said that scenes where blood and violence are seen should be removed. The film will hit the screens on october 19 in tamil and telugu languages.
