Kota Srinivasa Rao was born in vijayawada, andhra pradesh in 1942. He is not only an actor but also a politician. He has acted in languages including tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. He also served as a member of the vijayawada East Legislative assembly from 1999 to 2004. He made his debut in the film industry in 1978 with the telugu film ‘Pranam Kaaridu’ and has since acted in more than 750 films. He made his debut in tamil with the film ‘Saamy’. He played the villain role of Perumal Pichai in this film and attracted the attention of tamil fans. Subsequently, he played the villain in many tamil films like ‘Thirupachchi’, ‘Kuthu’, ‘Sathyam’, ‘Ko’, ‘Saamy 2’, and ‘Kaathadi’. In this, the role of Saniyan Sakada in the film ‘Thirupachchi’ was widely talked about. He has won 9 Nandi Awards in various categories such as Character Actor, Supporting Actor, and Best Villain.
