Alok Nath Birthday: Alok Nath, famous as 'Sanskari Babu Ji', is celebrating his 69th birthday today. The 'Me Too' controversy ruined his entire career. Let us tell you about some important things related to his life.
Alok Nath, who made a name for himself as 'Sanskari Babuji' in the world of bollywood and TV, achieved such a position in his acting career, where his name started being associated with respect and dignity in every household. But this golden image suddenly shattered after a controversy. Alok Nath, who is celebrating his 69th birthday today, i.e., 10 July, has success stories in his life on one hand, and on the other hand, there is also the shadow of controversies.
Born on 10 July 1986 in Delhi, Alok Nath's father was a doctor and wanted his son to also adopt the same profession. But during his college days, Alok's interest turned towards theatre. He joined Ruchika Theatre Group and learned the nuances of acting, and then trained for three years at the National school of Drama. It was from here that he got a small role in the 1982 Oscar-winning film 'Gandhi', which started his film journey. He got Rs 20,000 for this film, and from here he also won his father's approval.
Few people know that alok nath started his career as a romantic hero. He did many romantic scenes in the film Kamagni (1987), after which he became a star. Apart from this, he also appeared in the role of a villain in films like 'Shadsaniyat' and 'Vinashak'. But soon his image started forming as an ideal father.
When Rajshri Productions' films came in the 1990s, Alok Nath's image changed completely. He played the role of an emotional father in films like 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun', 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Vivaah', 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. On tv too, he won the hearts of people by becoming 'Babuji' in shows like 'Buniyaad', 'Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai', 'Woh Rehne Wali Mahalon Ki'.
But this ideal image was shattered in the year 2018 when filmmaker and writer Vinta Nanda made serious allegations of sexual abuse against him. This matter became so big that Alok Nath's career almost ended. He stopped getting work. Although the court gave him relief in this case, the stain on his image could never be erased. Since then, he has not been seen in any film or show. He was last seen in the 2019 film 'De De Pyar De'.
After the 'Me Too' controversy, alok nath distanced himself not only from the film world but also from social media. Artists close to him said that he is deeply hurt by this whole matter and has changed a lot now. Alok, who was once known for his polite nature, has now become harsh and quiet. His close friend Narayani Shastri said in an interview that he talks very little now.
