Case Reaches bombay high court Again
Bollywood actor aditya pancholi approached the bombay high court seeking to quash a rape FIR filed against him.
The high court heard the matter for the 28th time.
Pancholi appeared before the court during the hearing.

Pancholi’s Statement
Pancholi said the case is nearing dismissal.

Lawyer Reiterates Demand to Quash FIR
Pancholi’s lawyer, Advocate prashant Patil, pressed for cancellation of the FIR.
The FIR was registered in 2019 at Versova police Station.
Charges include rape under IPC Section 376 and other relevant sections.
The defense argued that the FIR should be quashed based on legal grounds.
Notice Issued to Complainant Again
The public prosecutor informed the court that police had sent notices 11 times to the complainant.
Despite repeated notices, the complainant allegedly did not appear for the investigation.
The high court has now issued a fresh notice directing her to remain present on the next date.
A lawyer appeared on behalf of the complainant, seeking time to obtain instructions from his client.

The petition relies on the supreme Court’s State of haryana v. Bhajan Lal judgment.
The defense claims the complaint was filed nearly 15 years after the alleged incident.
It argues that the delay indicates malicious intent behind the FIR.
