The petition demanded that he be disqualified as the Member of parliament of Pakistan.



Imran took gifts from Toshakhana without paying - PDM

The petition, filed by the pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), claimed that cricketer-turned-politician imran khan took away most of the goods from Toshakhana without payment. He did not disclose the gifts he allegedly received from himself and concealed the information in his statements.



According to the law of pakistan, any gift received from dignitaries of a foreign state must be kept in the State Depository or Toshakhana. If the head of state wishes to retain the gift, he must pay an amount equal to its value. This is decided through the process of an auction. These gifts are either stored in the Toshakhana or can be auctioned and the money earned through this is deposited in the national treasury.
