The current situation of the Telugu Desam Party is not looking good and the common opinion is that, it is time for some fresh blood to enter the camp and bring energy. The thought is good but few analysts believe that down the line TDP might become the battle venue for two powerful sides.
They are the Nara family and Nandamuri family. Steps are being taken for pushing Nara Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu, into active politics. On the other side, Nara Rohit, nephew of Naidu, is already gaining good support from TDP members and youth wings. But there is also one more angle to this.
Let us not forget the presence of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Junior NTR who are equally pumped up to give the party a big push. As on today, there is a need for both Nara and Nandamuri families to work together but if everything goes their way and TDP comes to power in 2014 then this internal power struggle looks very likely.
