Veteran lyricist Dev kohli has passed away this morning. He was 81 years old. Dev kohli was recently also
admitted in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri for two-three months due to age-related
ailments. Even after getting all the treatment, there was no improvement in his condition and later the
doctors replied. He was sent back home about 10 days ago. This veteran lyricist died in his sleep at 4 am
today. Due to the death of Dev kohli, there has been a wave of mourning in the film industry.
Dev kohli wrote hundreds of songs for more than 100 films
Dev kohli has worked in 'Laal Patthar', 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun', 'Baazigar', 'Judwaa 2',
'Musafir', 'Ishq', 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', 'Taxi No. 911' Like hundreds of superhit songs were written for
more than 100 films. Dev kohli wrote superhit songs like Kabootar Ja Ja, Aaja Sham Hone Aayee, Aate
Jaate Haste Gaate, Kahe Tose Sajna for salman Khan's blockbuster movie Maine Pyar Kiya.
Dev Kohli's last rites will be held today
For the last darshan of Dev kohli, his body will be kept at his Lokhandwala house in mumbai from 2 pm
onwards. At the same time, his last rites will be performed at the Oshiwara crematorium in mumbai today.
