As soon as Nadahabba dussehra is called, everyone's homes are celebrated. On thursday, the Gajapade marched from Dubare Sakane camp in Kushalanagar taluk of Kodagu district for the grand Ambari procession of Nada Devi. The four elephants who had to travel to Veeranahosahalli were bathed in the kaveri river on thursday morning and showered with flowers. Later, traditional worship was offered to the Ganesha idol in the Sakane camp of Dubare. They offered fruit and worship to Ganesha.

Meanwhile Gopi, Dhananjaya and Kanjan elephants who had left Dubare breeding camp were also offered pooja. Dore, the leader of the maws, and others also offered flowers to the elephants after decorating them with saffron akshata. As the puja was being offered, the three elephants raised their trunks at the same time and stood in such a way as to offer obeisance to Vighna Vinayaka. Thus, as three elephants raised their trunks during the puja, hundreds of tourists, including mahouts, Kawadigars, forest department personnel, joined hands and saluted as if they were grateful.

Then the elephant was given various foods including banana, jaggery and coconut. Then the three elephants circled the Ganesha idol three times and started their journey towards Mysore. When the elephants were bid farewell to the elephants by traditional worship, the devotion of the people could be seen. Speaking on the occasion, Kushalanagar RFO Shivaram said that four elephants are being sent to mysore dussehra in the first round. Dhyanjaya, Gopi, Vijaya and Kanjan are sending four elephants. They will be welcomed at Veeranahosahalli.

In the second phase four more elephants are sent. Two elephants have already been selected among them. Two more elephants will be selected and four elephants will be sent. In total, eight elephants will be sent from Dubare breeding camp. All the elephants were sent to Veeranahosahalli separately by lorries. All the elephants are healthy and a report has been given about them. Our merit is to serve Mawta bhaskar Nada Devi who is taking elephants to Dussehra. So going to dussehra brings great joy.

Elephants will be trained in mysore from tomorrow. As lakhs of people come, the elephants will be trained to carry the ambari without causing any confusion among them. The mahouts and kwadis are on their way and after we reach the palace, our wife, children, and children will all come there. After that we will stay there for two months. Going to dussehra is very exciting.
