Prime minister Modi also mentioned former PM lal bahadur shastri in his speech. He said that Shastri ji had
encouraged the soldiers from this very house during the 1965 pakistan war. From here itself a strong

the movement for the liberation of Bangladesh. It was in this house that the attack on democracy was
witnessed during the Emergency. This house also saw the strong return of democracy.
