A huge loss has been caused due to the release of water from Indira Sagar Dam in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

Former congress state president Arun Yadav held the administration responsible and alleged that in the effort to make

the Chief Minister’s event a success, the lives of lakhs of people were put in danger. In fact, due to the release of water

from the Indira Sagar Dam on Friday, there was huge damage to the houses and shops of hundreds of families living on

the banks of the Narmada River.

Regarding this, congress leader Yadav posted on X and said, The administration is completely responsible for the flood

in Khargone district. In order to make the event of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan successful, the lives of lakhs of

people were put in danger. He said that the water from Indira Sagar Dam was stopped to ensure that the road to the

venue was not damaged and when it was raining heavily, all the gates of the dam were opened. cm Shivraj, please

answer, was the program more important for you or the life of the public?

Arun Yadav also did a video

Yadav has also shared a video of Omkareshwar resident from his X handle, in which he is saying that the flood that

occurred is not a natural disaster, it is sponsored, if the administration wanted, it could have stopped it. He said that the

statue of Adi Shankaracharya is being installed here, to make the program of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan

successful, the lives of the people of entire Omkareshwar were put in danger. There is a ramp to reach where the statue

is located, hence water was not released from the dam.

Yadav said that if water had been released from the dam, there would have been water on the raft and it would not

have been possible to reach the statue site. Due to this, water was stopped in the dam. When pressure built up on the

dam, water was suddenly released one night, causing huge damage.
