
A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer SB Singh for the effective
implementation of Mid Day Meal and Mission Prerna as well as regular task force follow-up in Shahjahanpur,
Uttar Pradesh. In the meeting, it was told by Basic education Officer ranveer singh that the schools where the
boundary wall work has not been completed yet, will be completed by december 2023.
Ranveer Singh said that the organization providing furniture has so far provided furniture in only 29 percent of
the schools. Expressing displeasure over this situation, the CDO said that that institution should be blacklisted
with immediate effect. BSA said that till now tiling work has been done in the kitchens of 2672 schools. BSA
informed that a total of 358991 children are enrolled in the district, out of which DBT of 333991 children has
been completed. BSA said that the salary of a total of 422 teachers was stopped during online monitoring,
action like suspension etc. was taken against 156 teachers.
Instructions to promote kitchen garden
CDO SB Singh directed that there is a need to promote kitchen garden in the school. He described the situation
of the district as disappointing with respect to Nipun Bharat. He directed that the report regarding monitoring
should be uploaded on the same day. The delay in uploading raises questions on the credibility of the
investigation. As of now, electricity connection is available in 2654 schools out of 2720 schools in the district.
What other instructions did the CDO give?
SB Singh said that the schools which have not yet got electricity connection. All Block education Officers
should coordinate with the Executive engineer of the electricity Department and try to get electricity
connection there as soon as possible. On the delay in approving leave, the CDO said that the Block Education
Officer should not be negligent in taking action on the applications related to this.
