Reportedly it has been claimed that the election commission has not taken action on his complaint regarding the
transfer of the district Magistrate of Narsinghpur and two police station in-charges. The Election
Commission has replied on this. The election commission on thursday (October 26) told the Madhya
Pradesh high court that there is no need to transfer Narsinghpur district Magistrate Riju Bafna and in-
charges of Sua Tala and Themi police stations as there is no conduct in connection with the assembly
elections to be held on november 17. There has been no violation of the code.
election Commission's lawyer Siddharth Seth has informed that this argument was given during the
hearing on the petition of former congress mla Shekhar Chaudhary. He had claimed that the Election
Commission was not taking action on his complaint regarding the transfer of the district Magistrate of
Narsinghpur and two police station in-charges. He said that the petition requesting transfers was based on a
letter written by sitting bharatiya janata party (BJP) mla Jalam Singh on october 12, in which the work
of the district Magistrate and two police officers has been appreciated. Petitioner's lawyer Pankaj Dubey
has sought some time from the court to file his reply on the arguments of the election Commission.
