Karnataka prohibits all forms of head covering during exams...

Students are not permitted to wear head coverings of any kind during recruitment examinations, according to the karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). According to reports, action is being taken to stop exam cheating, including the use of Bluetooth devices. However, the exam-conducting authority has permitted the wearing of toe rings and mangalsutras—necklaces worn by married Hindu women—during exams in response to concerns from right-wing organizations.

Wearing "any garment or cap that covers head, mouth, or ears" in the exam room is now prohibited, according to the official notification issued by KEA. The directive went on to state that this is a component of the initiative to end exam malpractice. The KEA notification was made ahead of a number of board and recruiting tests that were scheduled to take place throughout the state on november 18 and 19.

Women were permitted to wear the hijab when taking exams a few days ago in order to get hired by organizations like the labour department, karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited,MSIL, and Sainik Welfare Board. "This is not to be misunderstood with the supreme court (SC) order on hijab in schools," stated Dr. M. C. Sudhakar, the minister of Higher education for Karnataka.
