Accordingly Manoj Jarange Patil, leader of Shivba organization fighting for maratha reservation in maharashtra, has said that he will go on hunger strike from february 10. Reiterating his demands in front of the media, Jarange Patil said that the maharashtra government should immediately implement its promises on the draft given to him on january 27 and start work on giving reservation to Marathas. The maratha leader said, “A handful of 10-20 disgruntled people from the government as well as opposition groups have taken up the task of speaking against me and attacking me on social media. They are jealous of me and angry with me, this fight is for the Marathas, but if they do not desist from their actions, I will expose their names along with their parties and leaders.” He said that these people keep raising such issues as to what have the Marathas gained or what have the Marathas lost through this long movement?

Meanwhile Jarange Patil said, “They are making desperate attempts to sideline me. But I will not step aside until my maratha brothers tell me that they want to take credit and are resorting to such tactics.'' He also criticized those who were bent on destroying the interest of the Marathas. Has happened. He said that a handful of people are unable to digest the fact that a person from a poor family is fighting for the reservation of the community. They are worried that if I am not broken and the movement is not controlled, they will lose their prestige among the Marathas.

Moreover the leader of Shivba organization further said, “Wherever I go, people always talk about maratha reservation. In the interest of the community, I will go ahead with my hunger strike from february 10." Along with this, rival OBC groups have also threatened to intensify their agitation, especially after estranged nationalist congress party minister Chhagan Bhujbal revealed that how he had resigned from his post on november 16 itself. His resignation letter is still with chief minister Eknath Shinde. On his part, Shinde has repeatedly assured that the maratha quota will be given without affecting the share of other communities.
