Reportedly after the ruckus on the Shambhu border of Haryana-Punjab regarding the farmers' march to delhi on Tuesday, the use of tear gas shells and strict police action against the protesters, the farmers' movement has started gaining more momentum than before. Farmers from punjab and haryana are standing at Shambhu border to march to Delhi. This time too farmers have started getting support from all over the country. Keeping this in mind, delhi police has sealed five borders of the national capital. delhi police has also increased police vigilance in the historic red Fort area.
Meanwhile in view of the Shambhu Border incident on Tuesday, delhi police has made security more stringent than before at Singhu Border, Tikri Border and Ghazipur Border. To prevent farmers from entering delhi, work is going on to build more concrete walls than before, to surround the roads with barbed wire and to block the roads with girders studded with iron nails. Security patrolling has also been increased in Rajinder nagar area of Delhi.
Moreover the result of the strong protest by the farmers is that the security agencies involved in the siege of delhi have sealed five borders of delhi NCR. The borders which have been sealed include Singhu Border, Ghazipur Border, Tikri Border, Jharoda, Chilla Border. Now barricading work has been started on DND also. So that farmers cannot enter the capital with their tractor-trolleys. Drones are being used to strengthen the security arrangements on the borders of Delhi.
