Jail Superintendent Manoj Sahu said that food and refreshments are being provided to the fasting people during Iftari and Sehri as per the rules and as per the jail manual. On Sunday, Iftar program was organized in the jail by the social organization Qaumi ekta Committee of Ujjain. During this period, 415 prisoners broke fast and iftar. Organization official Maqsood ali said that the prisoners were given an oath to give up crime during Roza Iftari. He swore to renounce his sins and also prayed.

The prisoners' eyes became moist.

Many prisoners lodged in the Central Jail had fasted with their families during ramzan last year, but due to their crimes they have to go to jail. In such a situation, even the eyes of many prisoners became moist during Roza and Iftari. Along with desisting from crime, the prisoners also swore to join the mainstream of society after being released from jail.

Food is served in jail according to religious festivals.

Like ramzan, the festival of navratri is also celebrated with pomp in jail. According to Jail Superintendent Manoj Sahu, according to the jail manual, food is also served during religious festivals. Major festivals of all religions are celebrated in jail. Holi, Rakshabandhan, Diwali, dussehra festivals are also celebrated in jail.
